Nothing is impossible for God, in His own time – an update from Anima in Melbourne

On March 17th the Anima Women’s Network held its annual Lenten Retreat Day.

It was a really beautiful time to stop and reflect on how our Lent was going and how we were growing in our relationship with Christ at this time.

We started our time together with morning tea and registration. Anne Maree Quinn gave a talk using the Gospel of the resurrection of Lazarus reminding us that it is so important to trust God. In understanding that nothing is impossible for God, we need to let Him work in His own time, in His own way because only He has the full picture. We have included an audio file of this talk at the bottom of this post.

Fr Francis Denton celebrated Mass for us and after lunch gave us a beautiful talk on Confession.

There was time for silence, confession, spiritual direction and also fellowship. The afternoon closed with benediction.

Thank you so much to Frs David Willis OP, Thomas Azzi OP and Marcus Goulding who gave us their time to hear confessions and give spiritual direction. Thank you also to Natasha Marsh and Justine Schaefer who provided their wonderful musical talents for our Mass.

Thanks finally to our Anima team who had a few challanges this time around but who, as ever, gave of themselves so graciously.
